QC Coating Inspector

QC Coating Inspector with Mechanical-CBT and BGAS Grade 01/02, NACE Level 02 certification, and 6–8 years of experience. Aramco Approved and Non-Aramco candidates accepted.

Job Description

  1. Perform coating inspection activities in accordance with approved ITPs, project specifications, and international standards
  2. Inspect surface preparation methods including abrasive blasting, power tool cleaning, and chemical cleaning
  3. Verify surface cleanliness, profile, and environmental conditions prior to coating application
  4. Monitor and inspect coating application processes such as primer, intermediate, and topcoat systems
  5. Measure and record Dry Film Thickness (DFT), Wet Film Thickness (WFT), adhesion, and holiday testing
  6. Ensure coating materials are approved, properly stored, mixed, and applied as per manufacturer recommendations
  7. Conduct visual inspections to identify coating defects such as runs, sags, pinholes, blistering, and rusting
  8. Prepare and maintain daily inspection reports, coating logs, and quality documentation
  9. Review material data sheets (MDS), technical data sheets (TDS), and method statements
  10. Coordinate with construction, engineering, and QA/QC teams to resolve coating-related issues
  11. Raise NCRs for non-conforming work and verify corrective and preventive actions
  12. Participate in client, third-party, and Aramco inspections when required
  13. Ensure compliance with Mechanical, CBT, BGAS Grade 01/02, and NACE Level 02 standards
  14. Support ISO 9001 quality management system implementation and audits
  15. Ensure all coating activities comply with project HSE requirements
  16. Assist in final inspection, punch listing, and project handover activities
  17. Maintain calibration records for inspection instruments and gauges
  18. Work independently while meeting project deadlines and quality objectives

Requirements

  1. 6–8 years of experience as a QC Coating Inspector
  2. Mechanical-CBT certification (mandatory)
  3. BGAS Grade 01 or 02 certification (mandatory)
  4. NACE Coating Inspector Level 02 (mandatory)
  5. Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems
  6. Aramco Approved candidates preferred (salary: 75 SR)
  7. Non-Aramco Approved candidates accepted (salary: 45 SR)
  8. Strong knowledge of coating systems, surface preparation standards, and inspection techniques
  9. Familiarity with international standards such as SSPC, NACE, ISO, and ASTM
  10. Good reporting, documentation, and communication skills
  11. Ability to work under pressure and meet project schedules
